Whether you’re a plumber, courier or mobile caterer, we know that you have a lot to organise – there’s clients to keep happy, materials or goods to order and that’s just for starters. Here at Commercial Vehicle Direct, we’ve been providing insurance policies to tradesmen and those who are self-employed for nearly 15 years.
We will cover:
- Specialist and modified vehicles
- All types of vans up to 7.5 tonnes
- Drivers with previous motoring or criminal convictions
- Additional drivers
- New and existing businesses
- And much more
Optional extras designed for your business needs
We know that any loss of earnings can have a significant impact on your business. Breaking down and being stranded on the side of the road is just one way that you can find yourself out of pocket – especially if it means that you can’t get to a job or you need to fork out for your vehicle to be towed away.
We offer Breakdown Cover with RAC, meaning your vehicle will be fixed on the roadside, or if it can’t be fixed at the time, you’ll be provided with a courtesy vehicle while your van is being repaired.
We also offer Public Liability insurance, which should be a serious consideration for any sole trader or business owner, and may be compulsory for certain clients.
Add additional drivers to your policy
Maybe you need one of your workers to collect some building materials or you’re on holiday and need someone to cover you – whatever the reason, we know there are times when you might need to add an additional driver to your policy. If this is the case, simply ring us on 0333 005 2361 and let us know that you would like to add someone as a named driver to your policy.
We also offer temporary cover with our award-winning friends Temp Cover, which is the perfect option if you need insurance for a short period. Maybe you want to test drive a new van, or you’re borrowing a vehicle from a friend. You might also decide to choose this option rather than adding someone as a named driver to your policy, especially as it won’t affect your No Claims Discount should they be involved in an accident.
