Citroen launches mark two Berlingo

The French commercial vehicle manufacturer Citroen has launched the latest entry to its Berlingo series of vans.

With increased loading capacity and the Trafficmaster Smartnav navigation system, the redesigned Berlingo builds upon the success of its predecessor.

And with prices starting from £12,395, Citroen's latest offering to the market could provide the perfect antidote for credit crunched fleet drivers.

Robert Handyside, the manufacturer's commercial vehicle operations manager, said: "With the launch of the Berlingo L2, Citroen is able to offer van operators the most comprehensive range of LCVs available from any manufacturer in the UK.

"The Berlingo L2 … provides the benefit of even greater long load carrying capability."

Commercial drivers often invest in Citroen vehicles due to their impressive handling and performance, while careful motorists will also find themselves able to secure a cheap van insurance premium.

Earlier in the week, it was announced that Autocar magazine had awarded Hyundai-Kia with the Automotive Manufacturer of the Year accolade.
